After a busy day shopping or viewing the sights of the city, everyone likes to kick back and Barcelona is the ideal place to do that. No matter what your music tastes, Barcelona has the nightclub for you. Popular with tourists, students and locals, Barcelona's nightclub scene has to be experienced to be believed. Here are some of the most exciting areas to visit once the sun sets over the city.
Maremagnum -Maremagnum is Barcelona's main shopping mall, but as well as shops, the shopping centre also boasts a host of clubs and bars. Once the shops close, the area comes alive with punters going to the region's pub and bars. Whether you'd like a pint of Guinness or to dance to the latest club hits, there is something for everyone, however prices are unsurprisingly high due to its tourist-trap nature.
Port Olympic - All along the Olympic marine are a stretch of club and bars, all of which have open terraces that are perfect to relax in during the summertime. Of course, due to the exclusive nature of the area, prices are very high.
Las Ramblas and Barri Gòtic areas - The main nightlife in Barcelona happens here, in the main street of the city and the Gothic area are populated with bars, pubs and clubs. Due to the sheer number, there is something for everyone, but watch out for the obvious tourist-traps with their higher prices. On a Saturday night, this is where the party is going to be, just make sure you keep an eye on your possessions in the crowds.
If you are a group and are looking for an organised night out i.e. to take in several clubs and to eat somewhere, one of the EMC (Event Management Company's) are worth considering, especially if you are a stag and hens group in Barcelona, Spain. You might also be very interested in Ibiza nightlife if you plan to pop across the water to the Balearic Islands.
